After running Computes for two years, it appeared though everything possible had been squeezed out of the package as it stood, but the applications guys took a new level of version 12.  Having read the PDF file from Computes web site, that tells of the improvements for version 12, my interest was piqued with additional control of the cutting conditions of Trumpf lasers. But the pdf file did nothing to prepare you for what you actually get in the latest version. I can almost say that Computes now compares with TOPS, for the amount of control you have of cutting conditions. The NEW laser database, at first glance formidable, is acutually a well organized graphical tree of the cutting technology of the Trumph laser, with organized levels to view by lens type and material.
Some tedious work was required on my part to EDIT the database after importing from version 11, like assigning lens and nozzle diameters, plus correcting FINISHING conditions that I had used in version 11. But when completed, the database is a lot easier to work with.
Some of the hardest items, are trying to determine with the NEW LOOK icons do, but functionally, the same prodcesses are used as before. And as usual, the tech support is second to none. Any questions that come up are answered to give the results you are looking for.
